This country’s Men’s Beach Soccer team’s hope of moving on to the Knock Out rounds of the Concacaf Beach Soccer Championships is still alive.
Needing a win over the Dominican Republic to finish third in Group C, the Beach Warriors won by 3-2 over their Spanish speaking Caribbean neighbours.
Yensy Severion gave the men from the Eastern side of Hispaniola the lead in the first third before Shane Hospedales found the equaliser for the men from the twin island republic. The second third belonged to the Dominican Republic as Miguel Moreta restored their lead. However, in the final third, the Warriors found the momentum need to earn victory and equalised through veteran goalkeeper Zane Coker. With one minute to go in the game, Jordan Riley scored the winner to give the Beach Warriors the much-needed victory to keep their Quarter Final hopes alive.
