TT Taxi Drivers Association Tells Citizens To Stay Off The Roads On April 19th To Protest Fuel Hike

As promised, the Trinidad and Tobago Taxi Drivers Association has chimed in about the impending increase in fuel prices.

The Association’s President, Adrian Acosta, during a Press Conference on Thursday, said the move is a selfish one and has called for citizens to stay off the nation’s roads on April 19th in a display of their stand against the impending fuel increase.

He said the past two years were difficult for everyone, and that should have been considered before such a move.

Mr. Acosta said the timing of Government’s decision to reduce this country’s fuel subsidy is disturbing.
