T&T U-19 Women Vs Leeward Islands

The Under-19 women of T&T were in a battle today against their Leeward Islands counterparts at the UWI Spec Ground in St. Augustine.

The Leewards took first strike under cool conditions but could not find a way to pick up much needed runs. Jazara Claxton had a long vigil at the crease for a top score of 19. It was a KD Jazz Mitchell show, as the medium pacer secured five of the Leewards batters for a mere 3 runs from her allotted six overs. She was supported by spinner Samara Ramnath who took two wickets for four runs from her six.

At the end of their 30 overs, the Leeward Islands could only manage 84 for 8, when the heavens opened. Although the rains eventually halted, the officials ruled the game to be abandoned, with the points evenly shared. T&T next play Guyana on Thursday at the same venue.
