Steady and disciplined performances on the track helped Trinidad and Tobago to a flurry of relay medals at the close of Day 2 at the 2023 CARIFTA Games in Nassau, Bahamas.
The Girls Under 17 4×100 meters team was promoted to the Gold medal position after Team Jamaica was disqualified for running out of lane on the final hand over.
The Boys Under 17 4×100 meters team earned a spot on the podium by taking the Bronze medal after Team Jamaica was disqualified for taking the baton “out of zone” on the second change over.
In a fast finish, the Girls Under 20 earned silver and the Boys Under 20 team ended the sprint relay series by bagging Bronze in a controversial senior boys race.
While Keneisha Shelbourne copped Bronze for Team TTO in the Girls Under 20 High Jump. Shelbourne cleared the bar at 1.75 meters for her third place finish in the event.
