There has been another acceptance of government’s 4% wage offer.
The Trinidad and Tobago Defence (TTDF) accepted the Chief Personnel Officer, Dr. Daryl Dindial’s 4% salary offer and signed off on the Report for the periods 2014-2016 and 2017-2019, at the Office of Chief Personnel Officer, earlier on Friday.
The TTDF was represented by its Pay Review Committee.
A media release from the office of the Chief Personnel Officer, advises the discussions were difficult and often tense but the TTDF demonstrated the remarkable trait of compromise, understanding, and strategic thinking in the discussions.
On August 29th, the Amalgamated Workers Union (AWU) accepted the Chief Personnel Officer’s 4% wage offer.
JTUM, the Police Service Social and Welfare Association, the Prison Officers’ Association, the Public Services Association and the Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers’ Association are among the trade unions that continue to reject the CPO’s four percent offer.
