T&TEC Appoints New General Manager

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has appointed former Chief Technical Officer Chrisalston Belle as its new General Manager, effective January 1st 2025.

Among his achievements in over 32 years of service at T&TEC is the implementation of innovative technologies within the commission, such as drone inspections and distribution automation geared towards improving service reliability and efficiency.

Mr. Belle also successfully led the negotiations of the first Utility-Scale Renewable Energy Power agreement in Trinidad and Tobago for the Brechin Castle solar generation plant. This plant is being constructed by the consortium of Lightsource bp, Shell, and bp.

Announcing the appointment, T&TEC thanked outgoing General Manager Curvis Francois for his 38 years of dedication.
