TTPS Prepares For Safe Carnival 2025

Acting Commissioner of Police Junior Benjamin has expressed confidence that Carnival 2025 will be safe for everyone.

Speaking at a TTPS Media Briefing on Friday, he said the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service has adopted a no-tolerance approach to crime, especially during the Carnival season.

He said a multi-agency approach has been employed, and the teams are ready to deal with any situation.

Officers will also focus on the safety and security of persons who do not participate in Carnival activities.

Assistant Commissioner of Police and Gold Commander for Carnival 2025, Richard Smith, said officers will be present at police stations, and there will be increased patrols throughout communities, campsites, and beaches.

Following Carnival activities on Monday and Tuesday, ACP Smith said there is a plan in place to patrol Carnival cool-down activities at various beaches across the country.
