Trinidad and Tobago is currently 27th in qualifying in the 2-man Bobsled event at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Beijing China.
The Team, pilot Axel Browne and brakeman Andre Marcano, returned this country to the games for the first time in 20 years and gave a colossal effort in their first two competitive slides at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre in Beijing, China.
In Heat 1 ,Team TTO made it down the slope in 1:00.81 seconds and were placed 28th.
In Heat 2, despite completing the course seven hundreths of a second slower, 1:00.89, the team’s ranking improved slightly.
This country’s sledders will return to the ice tomorrow morning for Heat 3, only the top 20 will advance to Heat 4 which also serves as the medal round
After two runs, Germany currently holds silver and gold position in Beijing, the pair of pilot Francesco Friedrich and brakeman Thorsten Margis lead the 30 team pack, Jamaica’s Shanwayne Stephens and Nimroy Turgott round out the group.
