It’s a special day here at TTT Ltd. We’re celebrating four years as TTT Limited, 60 years as State Media, and 60 years of Independence.
Trinidad and Tobago Television went on air in time to broadcast the first Independence Day celebrations. Sixty years later, viewers and listeners on the TTTL network will have the same opportunity.
On August 30th in 2018, the State Broadcaster was re-launched by Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley under the new name. As part of today’s celebration, TTT viewers and listeners on our Radio Stations Sweet 100.1, Talk City 91.1 and Next 99.1 are being treated. It started with a special anniversary NOW Programme, a very important guest host, featuring a look back at Trinidad and Tobago Television, and some of this country’s top local talent.
TTT’s anniversary celebrations continue until midnight with the Independence edition of the Next 99.1 event, Pavement Lime.
On Independence Day, TTT fans will be able to view live the Diamond Jubilee Independence Military Parade at the Queen’s Park Savannah from 7:30am , as well as the Independence Cultural Show tomorrow evening.
