The ‘Turn Up, Don’t Give Up’ caravan rolled into Mucurapo East Secondary School on Friday.
Students from five schools were encouraged to make the most of the opportunities as they enter the next phase of their lives.
Focus was the theme of Lady Elizabeth Montano’s motivational speech to the students, as she recounted the challenges in her early days, on failing the Common Entrance exam, and how she decided to change her life for the better.
She said a lot of her success was as a result of keeping focused on what was best for her and the value of education. These and other life lessons, she said, were passed on to her two children and six grandchildren, and now to the students.
The Turn Up Don’t Give Up Caravan is part of the Ministry of Education’s four-week Vacation Revision Programme 2022.
