The Trinidad and Tobago Cycling Federation and UCI, the governing body for world cycling, are currently providing a Level 2 Coaching Course at the National Cycling Centre in Couva.
The course runs from Monday 21st August and ends on Friday 25th August.
According to the TTCF, a total of 18 participants from the Caribbean will be trained at the Velodrome, which is a certified UCI continental development satellite center. They will be taught the elements of coaching, talent identification along with mechanic training.
This comes as the federation has the goal of positioning Trinidad and Tobago as a premier cycling destination while identifying and moulding athlete potential, and creating meaningful opportunities for persons passionate about the sport.
