The Futsal Association of Trinidad and Tobago will be bringing the sport to children at schools to engage and get them involved.
Its President, Jeffrey Edwards, says this is part of the Association’s involvement with the TTPS’ initiative to reduce violence in schools. Mr. Edwards says he sees a great opportunity to get students involved as part of their sport development, which can aid in reducing incidents of school violence. One of his initiatives is creating futsal clubs within the school environment.
Mr. Edwards was speaking to reporters at the Chaguanas North Secondary as part of the TTPS’ School Violence Intervention at Schools on Tuesday.
