A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the University of Trinidad and Tobago and the Tobago House of Assembly’s Division of Food Security, Natural Resources, the Environment, and Sustainable Development, formalising an agreement to strengthen research and education-based initiatives.
The relationship will see the UTT’s Biosciences, Agriculture, and Food Technology programmes provide technical support and training for Tobago-based students at the University’s campus at MIC-IT’s Tobago Technology Centre, eliminating the need for students to travel to Trinidad for this purpose—an advantage that Tobago House of Assembly Chief Secretary Farley Augustine was pleased about.
UTT Chairman Professor Clément Imbert added that this partnership will help contribute to Tobago’s resilience and progress.
