Eleven designers will showcase their work on a state-of-the-art 3D platform which will allow interested buyers to peruse, order, and purchase their pieces.
The virtual trade mission will feature designers such as Meiling, Designer J Angelique, The Cloth, Individual Aesthetics, and Nehar Karina.
General Manager of Fashion TT, Lisa-Marie Daniel, said the designers are export-ready, and poised to take on the international market in line with its aesthetic and niche.
Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee-Scoon, said the project builds upon the Export Booster Initiative which was developed by her line Ministry to increase the export value of manufactured goods and services. She said the project was done in partnership with ExporTT and the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association.
General Manager of ExportTT, Dhanraj Harrypersad, said ExporTT signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Fashion TT, committing to providing expert guidance and support on this project.
The website goes live today and will be available to the public for the next six months.
