WASA CEO Meets With Staff And Key Stakeholders

WASA CEO, Keithroy Halliday, continued to meet and greet staff members across the organisation on Tuesday, introducing the new Executive Leadership Team as they visited various departments at locations across Trinidad.

“This is our Leadership Team and collectively, we are Team WASA. Every single one of us has a role to play in honouring our mandate to provide Water and Wastewater services to Trinidad and Tobago.”

Mr. Halliday was consistent in his call for open dialogue and feedback from all team members, emphasising that their insights are essential in creating a supportive and thriving workplace. Staff members could be seen nodding in agreement to the CEO’s stance on employee collaboration and wellbeing.

The job at hand was also placed at the forefront. Mr. Halliday emphasised, “We are duty bound to the transformation of our organisation into an efficient utility that will provide a 24/7 pipe borne water supply to all our stakeholders. In the face of financial challenges and the effects of climate change, we must all remain resolute in our approach to getting the job done.”

In an unprecedented demonstration of his commitment to collaboration and transparency, Mr. Halliday signaled his intent to engage all stakeholders openly and respectfully by paying courtesy calls to Mr. Leroy Baptiste, President of the Public Services Association (PSA), and Mr. Deryck Richardson, President of the Estate Police Association (EPA).

On just his third day on the job, Mr. Halliday spent the morning with his Executive Leadership Team before journeying to South Trinidad to meet staff at the South Regional Office, followed by tours of the San Fernando Booster Station and the Navet Water Treatment Plant where, at both locations, he was greeted by team members eager to walk the new CEO through the operations at both facilities.
