A massive clean-up of Trinidad and Tobago is ongoing, and the Ministry of Local Government shot off to the East Dry River on Saturday as the campaign continues.
Local Government Minister, Faris Al-Rawi, said June 5th 2022 will be the start of the Rainy Season and they are trying to get a head start on on the cleaning of waterways.
Mr. Al-Rawi also said that MP for Port of Spain South, Keith Scotland, has been scouring each lane and path to ascertain where work is needed.
Four Regional Corporations also assisted, spanning Diego Martin, Port of Spain, San Juan/Laventille, to Tunapuna/Piarco. City Police and the army were also conscripted.
Minister Al-Rawi says while the Ministry is doing its part, the population needs to assist by putting out their waste when required, and informing the Ministry of areas their environment that needs to cleaned.
