West Indies In Control Over Zimbabwe

The west Indies senior men ended day one of their tour match against a Zimbabwe XI in Bulawayo in a commanding position today.

At stumps the regional side was on 313 for 5 in 90 overs opener Captain Kraigg Brathwaite excelled retiring not out on 116 runs from 170 balls.

Brathwaite hit 10 fours in his innings, Tagenerine Chanderpaul and Kyle Mayers both contributed 46 and Devon Thomas 42.

Five Zimbabwe bowlers took one scalp each, Tanaka Chivanga got his for the least damage.

The warm-up precedes a two match Test Series between the Windies men and Zimbabwe in Bulawayo.
