West Indies Lose 2nd Test Vs South Africa

The second test versus South Africa ended in a massive 284 run loss for the West Indies.

Chasing a mammoth 391 for victory, Kraigg Brathwaite and his men were all out for 106 after lunch on day 4.

The win gave South Africa a 2-0 series victory which moved them to third on the World Test Championship points table.

Once again, the middle order batting failed to save the West Indies after the dependable Brathwaite and opening partner Tagenarine Chanderpaul were dislodged for low scores.

Only wicket keeper Joshua Da Silva show minor resistance with a top score of 34.

Star pacer Kagiso Rabada started the dismantling of the Windies with two early wickets then the spinners Simon Harmer and Keshav Maharaj took advantage of the turn on offer to share five wickets.

Gerald Coetzee then proceeded to get rid of the lower order.
Now it’s on to the One Day International series starting on Thursday in East London, where the visitors will be aiming for better fortunes.
