West Indies Women ‘A’ Team To Play In Tri-Series Tournament

West Indies Women A, Pakistan Women A, and Thailand Women Emerging team will feature in a T20 Tri-Series scheduled to begin on Friday and concluded on November 8th.

The three teams will play each other once, before the top two play the Final on November 8th. All matches will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

This is the first multi-nation tournament in Pakistan involving women’s emerging teams. The West Indies Women ‘A’ and Pakistan Women ‘A’ recently completed a three-match One Day International Series in Pakistan which was won 2-1 by the regional outfit.

The Windies will be buoyed by the One Day Series victory and will continue to be captained by Rashada Williams, who was the leading run-getter in the 50-over matches, while the home team will be led by bowling ace Rameen Shamim. Thipatcha Putthawong will captain Thailand.

The West Indies will open the series versus Pakistan on Friday, followed by an outing against Thailand on Saturday. Both matches starting at 1am Eastern Caribbean Time in Lahore.
