The West Indies men took charge of the first day of the third and final Apex test match against England at the Grenada National Stadium.
Batting first, England had a tough time dealing with the Windies seamers on a grassy surface. The visitors were immediately put on the back foot losing 5 wickets for 53 runs at lunch on day one. On the return from the break, wickets continued tumbling with Jayden Seales leading the way taking 3 for 40 runs. Recovering from 90 for 8, England’s Jack Leach and Saqib Mahmood had a late counter with a 90 run last wicket partnership.
With two balls remaining before the close of play Mahmood was bowled by part timer Jermaine Blackwood as England closed their innings on 204 all out.
