WI U-19 Women Begin T20 World Cup Campaign On Sunday

The West Indies Women Rising Stars will begin their 2023 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup against Ireland at the North-West University No1 Ground in Potchefstroom, South Africa at 4 o’clock tomorrow morning.

The inaugural edition of the tournament features 16 teams playing 41 matches at venues through South Africa, and the West Indies women will looking to make their mark from opening day.

The Windies U-19 Women are in Group C alongside Ireland, New Zealand, and Indonesia.

The regional women won their their second warm-up match against Zimbabwe after a torrid time against England in their first pre-tournament warm-up match.

The 16-member team is captained by Ashmini Munisar and will play Indonesia in their second match on Tuesday, and their final Group game against New Zealand on Thursday.
