Rain had the last say on the final day of the Second Test played at the Queen’s Park Oval between the West Indies and India.
Persistent early morning showers delayed the start of play to 1:30pm before a thundershower closed the door of play on the final day.
India raced to 181 for 2 declared on Day 4, setting the home side 365 for victory. The Windies closed Day 4 on 76 for 2, needing 289 to win from a full 90 overs.
Windies fans were hopeful for a full day’s play for a chance of West Indian redemption in this final Test. With the equation just 3.2 runs per over, the team also fancied their chances of a possible victory. However, it was not to be as the match finished with a draw, with India winning the two match series 1-0.
The attention now turns to Barbados where the first ODI will bowl off on Thursday.
