The first CG United One Day International between the West Indies Women and New Zealand Women has been rescheduled to Monday after being postponed due to the passage of Tropical Storm Fiona.
The storm is likely to pass over Antigua where the eight match short form series is scheduled to be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in St. John’s.
Points won in the ODI Series contribute towards the new ICC Women’s Championship which provides a direct pathway to qualification for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in 2025.
Should play proceed from Monday, it’ll be the West Indies Women’s first home international cricket since September 2021.
