Windies ‘A’ Pile on The Runs

Centuries eluded the top order of the West Indies ‘A’ team on Day 2 of the first unofficial Test versus Bangladesh but Joshua Da Silva’s team continues to pile of the runs.

Resuming on 220 for 2, the West Indies reached 417 for 6 at stumps. Tagenarine Chanderpaul added only 13 to his overnight score before being caught behind off the bowling of Musfik Hasan, who is the most successful bowler so far with 3 for 54.

Also getting close to triple figures was the other overnight batter Alick Athanaze. Before being out LBW, he made an entertaining 85 in just 98 balls which featured 12 fours and 3 sixes.

Between those wickets was that of Brandon King who failed to trouble the scorers, with the other man out being Yannic Cariah who contributed 14.

Resuming on Day 3 will be the captain Da Silva on 73 and Kevin Sinclair on 47. Play begins at midnight Eastern Caribbean Time.
