Windies Defeat Scotland In Warm Up Match

The West Indies cruised to a comfortable win versus Scotland today in a warm up fixture ahead of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifiers.

The teams met at Harare Sports Club in Zimbabwe where Scotland won the toss and invited the captain Shai Hope and his team to bat first. They compiled 264 all out in 48.4 overs as Hope top score with 57. Romario Shepherd also got a half century, hitting 53 in 34 ball with 5 fours and 3 sixes.
Seamer Chris Sole got the most wickets with 4 for 50 from 10 overs.

In reply the Scots could only manage 173 all out in 33.5 overs. Brandon McMullen was their top scorer with 38 which featured 7 fours.

Yannick Cariah was the main destroyer for the West Indies with 4 for 46 in 9 overs, while Rolston Chase supported with 3 for 43 in 5.5 as the Windies won by 91 runs.

The next warm-up fixture is against the UAE on Thursday.
