Windies Under-19 Women Lose To India ‘B’ Team

The West Indies Women Under-19 team fell to their third successive loss in the BCCI Quadrangular Women’s Under-19 T20 Series being contested in Vizag.

In a low-scoring affair against India Women Under-19 ‘B’, the Windies could only manage 44 all out in 16.5 overs, a run rate of 2.61. The captain, Ashmini Munisar, was the only batter in double figure with 11. The Indian bowlers shared the wicket taking duties with Parunika Sisodia having the best figures of 2 for 9 from two overs.

India ‘B’ got to the target in 7.1 overs for the loss of 2 wickets. Ishwari Savkar top scored with 32 not out, and KDJazz Mitchell got both wickets for the West Indies. The West Indies Under-19s are scheduled to meet their New Zealand counterparts in Mumbai next Tuesday.
