Not just mothers, but all women were celebrated by the People’s National Movement’s National Women’s League in conjunction with the Cashew Tree Foundation at the Larry Gomes Stadium this weekend.
The event, which was free for all to attend, gifted those in attendance live entertainment, treats, and some much needed pampering.
Vice Chairman of the PNM Women’s League, Camille Robinson-Regis, shared that women and their contributions need to be acknowledged and added that in the past week the nation felt the hurt that a number of women endured.
Those in attendance were asked to contribute canned food items. Mrs. Robinson-Regis explained the items will be used by the Cashew Tree Foundation and the Women’s League as part of their charitable initiative to assist mothers and others in need.
