Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan is assuring that the permanent structure for the Manzanilla/Mayaro Roadway will be completed before the height of the Rainy Season.
Speaking in the Lower House on Friday, he said construction work is expected to commence soon.
He said the works entail repairs to the failed section of the roadway and upgrade to the existing roadway to withstand the long term effects associated with the overtopping of the Nariva Swamp. He also dismissed a suggestion for the current temporary structure to be resurfaced.
