Ya Ya Nominated For 2021 Concacaf Women’s Best XI Forward

Fenerbahçe forward Kennya Cordner has been nominated for the 2021 Concacaf Women’s Best XI Forward Award.

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s 2021 Women’s Player of the Year is among a ten-woman group of nominees up for the annual award. Cordner’s opposition for the gong includes the likes of Jamaica’s Khadija Shaw, Canadian Olympic Gold Medallist captain Christine Sinclair, and Reading’s Deanne Rose.

Yaya joined the newly-formed Fenerbahçe Women’s team in November and is currently the Turkish Women’s Super League’s top scorer with 17 goals in 11 matches.

The Speyside native is the only Trinidad and Tobago footballer nominated for an award in this year’s edition.
