Government is assuring that Youth Camps and, by extension, Youth Programmes are not being scaled down.
Leader of Government Business in the Senate, Dr. Amery Browne, said work was conducted to revitalise Youth Camps through the refurbishment of the current suite of Apprenticeships Centres.
He dismissed the Opposition’s question in the Senate on Tuesday that such programmes and what was formerly referred to as ‘Youth Camps’ were being put on the back burner. Dr. Browne added that other such programmes are a priority of the Ministry of Youth Development and National Service.
