The West Indies fell to a shock 35-run defeat as Zimbabwe swept into the Super Sixes of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Harare.
The Windies won the toss and elected to field but weren’t focused on the task and let Zimbabwe off the hook one time too many.
The men in maroon dropped Sikandar Raza twice, first on 1 and then on 7. He went on to top-score with 68 off 58 balls.
Ryan Burl also brought up his 50, captain Craig Irvine was three short as they were all out on 268 in 49.5 overs.
Keemo Paul took three for 61, Alzarri Joseph and Akeal Hosein had two a piece for 42 and 45 respectively.
In reply, the Windies were all out for 233 in 44.4 overs.
Kyle Mayers scored 56 off 72 while Roston Chase made 44 off 53, and Nicholas Pooran 34 off 36.
Tendai Chatara was most destructive taking 3 for 52. Richard Ngarava took 2 for 25 and Blessing Muzarabani 2 for 33.
The Windies men will next play the Netherlands on Monday.
